Danai A. Gagne

The Color of song, The sound of dance, and the Taste of Drama

Danai A. Gagne, a native of Greece, is dance and music educator, composer, pianist and director of the Orff Certification Program at PS 51 in New York City.
Education and diplomas: BA from Empire State College in Interdisciplinary Studies in Music and Dance Education; diploma from the Orff Institute in Salzburg, Austria. Danai is a direct link through her personal relationship to Carl Orff and Gunild Keetman; other diplomas include the Yvonne de Kiriko Modern Dance School and the Hellenic Conservatory in advanced piano studies in Athens, Greece.

Danai is a well-known presenter of numerous workshops and seminars throughout the US, Canada, Europe and Asia, including many national conferences of the AOSA. She is a recipient of the Distinguished Service Award from the AOSA, and is one of the founding members of the Hong Kong Orff Association.
